Nooit geweten dat het bestond maar superhandig. Het Gardena Ontwaterinsventiel.

Het doet wat de naam aangeeft. Het ontwatert je leidingen, slangen, filters, enz.

En dat is ontzetten handig en vooral veilig.

Na 2 dagen kan stilstaand water al veranderen in een bron voor de legionella bacterie. En dat is best snel. Zeker als je in ons geval na een paar dagen reizen met je expeditie truck je de fiets pakt voor 2 weken toeren.

In die twee weken staat je mooie wagen vol in de zon en kan het water in je tanks, leidingen, slangen lekker op stoom komen en voordat je het weet een bron van besmetting worden.

Ok, in de praktijk gaat het ook weer niet zo snel maar je begrijpt het idee.

En hoe krijg je het water uit je slang of je leidingen?

Natuurlijk door je ontluchtingsventielen die je keurig tijdens de bouw hebt geplaatst. Maar iedereen weet dat niet al het water er zomaar uit is. Zeker niet als je wagen een beetje scheef staat.

En iedereen die een lange waterleiding geprobeerd heeft leeg te maken weet hoe lastig dat is. Je krijgt het nooit echt goed leeg.

En daarom deze oplossing.

Niets anders dan een Gardena koppeling met op het uiteinde een autoventiel. Compressor erop en blazen maar. Je spuit het water er zo uit. Super snel en handig. En als expeditie truck rijder heb je altijd lucht dus blazen maar.

Gardena Drain Valve

Never knew it existed, but it's incredibly handy. The Gardena Drain Valve.

It does what the name suggests. It drains your pipes, hoses, filters, etc.

And that's incredibly convenient and, above all, safe.

And anyone who's tried to empty a long water pipe knows how difficult it is. You never really get it completely empty.
